Current Function:
After pressing a shift key on a value a slider pops down after which we can slide the cursor by using drag or click arrow key.
Proposed Idea:
What if we can scroll up or down on a value after pressing shift to change it rather than dragging the slider.
This will help in changing the value with ease. Scroll is not engaged anyway with the sheet when the shift is pressed. So let the scroll function be used to increase or decrease the slider.

Zac @ Soulver: The precision of scrolling in trackpad or Magic Mouse will come handy in scale factor of increasing and decreasing values. Increasing or decreasing value will be directly proportional to the speed of scroll. The faster you will scroll, higher the increasing or decreasing factor. Vice versa for slower scrolling. This will help achieve more precise setup of declaring values.
