Allow double prime (") and prime (') notations for units inch and feet respectively. As the prime symbol ′ is commonly used to represent feet (ft), and the double prime ″ is used to represent inches (in).

Zac @ Soulver: I would 100% use this notation, especially as in
 isn’t currently recognised as a unit (understandably).
That said, if you do ever implement minutes and seconds of arc, would have to be careful not to let it clash:
0' 0"
 = 0′ 0″
 = 0 feet 0 inches
0° 0' 0"
 = 0° 0′ 0″
 = 0 degrees 0 minutes 0 seconds
